Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Metal Detector work?
The Metal Detector uses your iPhone's built-in magnetometer to detect changes in the magnetic field caused by ferromagnetic metals (iron, steel, nickel). It works best with ferrous metals and may not detect non-magnetic metals like aluminum or copper.
Why is the Compass inaccurate?
Compass accuracy depends on magnetometer calibration. If readings are off, try the figure-8 calibration gesture: wave your phone in a figure-8 pattern. Also keep away from magnets, speakers, and other electronics.
How accurate is the Heart Rate measurement?
The Heart Rate tool uses your camera to detect pulse through your fingertip. It provides an estimate and is not a medical device. For medical-grade readings, use a dedicated pulse oximeter. Accuracy improves if you hold still and cover only the camera lens (not the flash).
Does the Ruler need calibration?
The Ruler auto-calibrates based on your device's screen PPI. If measurements seem off, use the calibration option in the Ruler tool with a credit card (85.6mm standard) as reference.
Why does the Speedometer show 0?
The Speedometer uses GPS and needs a clear view of the sky. It won't work indoors or in tunnels. Make sure Location permission is granted in Settings. GPS needs a few seconds to get a fix when you start.
Do I need internet to use the tools?
No. All tools work completely offline. The only exception is Sound ID (Shazam-based music recognition) which needs internet to identify songs. Everything else runs 100% on your device.
Is my data collected or shared?
No. We don't collect, store, or share any data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking. Everything stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open any premium tool and tap "Restore Purchase" on the unlock screen. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
The app crashes or a tool doesn't work
Try force-closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, make sure you're on the latest version from the App Store. If it still doesn't work, contact us with your device model and iOS version.
